Coomer. “It is critically important to maintain and strengthen Georgia’s economic ties with China, and I believe that this was accomplished through our mission. I’d like to extend my sincerest gratitude to the Chinese government and business leaders who graciously welcomed us to their great country, which is rich in history and significance to Georgia.”

The mission consisted of several prospect meetings, briefings and discussions with the U.S. Commercial Service and the American Chamber of Commerce, trade/export meetings and gatherings to build relationships with Chinese government and business leaders.

Additionally, the members of the Georgia delegation were among the first passengers to fly Delta Air Lines’ relaunched route from Atlanta to Shanghai, and the mission included a reception in celebration of the new route and an official agreement signing between Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport and the Shanghai Airport Authority.

Also during the mission, Complete Flooring Supply Corporation, a flooring manufacturer based in Shanghai, announced plans to establish a $30 million factory and create 100 jobs in Gordon County.
