ATLANTA – State Representative Dar’shun Kendrick (D-Lithonia) has pre-filed and introduced several House bills during the first week of the 2021 legislative session to promote “black wealth” across the state. “The Black community continues to be marginalized in its efforts to create wealth, and COVID-19 has further exasperated this issue by costing thousands of Black Georgians their jobs and businesses,” said Rep. Kendrick. “I am committed to focusing my efforts during the 2021 legislative session on introducing legislative solutions that would help build wealth among the Black community. These bills would not only help create new wealth, but they could also help rebuild the economic losses our families and neighbors have experienced this last year.”
