ATLANTA – State Representative Dar’shun Kendrick (D-Lithonia) along with State Representative Doreen Carter (D-Lithonia) will welcome business owners throughout her district at the fifth annual Financial Fit (FIN FIT) “Fearlessly Fundraising for Small Businesses” event hosted by the Georgia Office of Secretary of State on Thursday, November 9, 2023, from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the Georgia International Horse Park in Conyers, Georgia.
“I am proud to partner with the Georgia Secretary of State’s office to the 95th House District for this event,” said Rep. Kendrick. “I was able to work with the Secretary of State’s office to help plan an insightful panel on businesses resources and success stories. My support of small businesses has never wavered ever since being elected in 2010. I invite all constituents in Rockdale and the surrounding areas to take advantage of the networking, resources and opportunities on this day.”

During the event, panelists will discuss how to raise capital to finance small businesses and discuss the details of the Invest Georgia Exemption (IGE), a tool available to Georgians looking to raise capital and fund new and existing businesses.
FIN FIT is a financial empowerment seminar series hosted by Georgia Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger as part of his financial literacy effort and is administered through the Securities and Charities divisions of the Office of Secretary of State.
