ATLANTA – State Representative Debra Bazemore (D-South Fulton) and representatives from the Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT) will hold a press conference TOMORROW, February 23, 2023, from 10-10:30 a.m. north of the SR 138 and Bethsaida Rd. intersection (3583 Bethsaida Rd.) in Fairburn. Rep. Bazemore will be joined by Dana Lemon, member of the State Transportation Board, and Paul DeNard, GDOT district engineer. These officials will provide information regarding the department’s ongoing safety improvements to the intersection at SR 138 and Bethsaida Rd. in Fairburn. This response project includes the installation of a traffic signal and pedestrian improvements on SR 138/Jonesboro Rd. at Bethsaida Rd. The department will clear, install and maintain proper traffic control, traffic signal installation and placement of concrete; stripping is anticipated to be completed spring of 2023.
Parking will be available along Bradford Way near the intersection.
