Rep. Dewayne Hill Sworn in, Receives Committee Assignments for the 2017-2018 Legislative Term

ATLANTA – State Representative Dewayne Hill (R-Ringgold) was sworn into office as a member of the Georgia House of Representatives on Monday, January 9, 2017, marking his first day of the 2017-2018 legislative term. Monday was the first day of the first term of the 154th Legislative Session of the Georgia General Assembly.

“I am ecstatic to be a part of the Georgia General Assembly, and I am honored to serve the citizens of Catoosa County and this state during the 2017 legislative session in the people’s House,” said Rep. Hill.

In addition to being officially sworn in, the Georgia House of Representatives’ Committee on Assignments named Rep. Hill to the Industry and Labor; Intragovernmental Coordination; and Education committees.

“I am looking forward to the opportunity to serve as a member on each of the committees to which I have been appointed, and pledge to represent the values of the people of District 3 during this legislative session,” added Rep. Hill. “God Bless Catoosa County, and God Bless America!”

The House Committee on Assignments, chaired by House Speaker David Ralston (R-Blue Ridge), is charged with making all House committee assignments for the members of the Georgia House of Representatives.

Representative Dewayne Hill represents the citizens of District 3, which includes the northern most part of Catoosa County. He was elected to the Industry and Labor, Intragovernmental Coordination, and Education committees.
