Rep. Dickerson Receives Public Servant Award

ATLANTA – State Representative Pamela Dickerson (D-Conyers) recently received the The Links, Inc. Public Servant Award during Georgia Links Day at the Capitol on Tuesday, March 6, 2018. Rep. Dickerson was granted the award for her support of policies that advocate for education and criminal justice for Georgia’s youth.

“Since being sworn into the Georgia House of Representatives seven years ago, it has been one of my top priorities is to be an advocate for the youth in District 113 and our great state,” said Rep. Dickerson. “I am honored to receive the Public Servant Award from such a renowned community service organization and to help our youth through legislative action.”

The Links, Inc. is a women’s volunteer service organization that works to enrich and sustain African-American culture and advocates on behalf of women and children. The organization was founded in 1946 and has more than 12,000 members across 42 states, the District of Columbia and the Commonwealth of the Bahamas.

Representative Pam Dickerson represents the citizens of District 113, which includes portions of Bartow, Gwinnett, Rockdale and Walton counties. She was elected to the House of Representatives in 2010 and currently serves on the Appropriations Subcommittee on Transportation and the Education, Energy, Utilities & Telecommunications, Juvenile Justice, Judiciary Non-Civil and Legislative and Congressional Reapportionment committees.
