Rep. Doreen Carter to Serve as Keynote Speaker for Georgia PTA 2021 Advocacy Conference

ATLANTA – State Representative Doreen Carter (D-Lithonia) will serve as the keynote speaker for the Georgia Parent-Teacher Association’s (PTA) 2021 Advocacy Conference on Thursday, November 18, 2021, at 9:20 a.m. at the James H. “Sloppy” Floyd Building (Empire Room) in Atlanta.

During the conference’s morning session, Rep. Carter will speak on the importance of parent involvement in school communities. The theme of this year’s conference is “resilience” and will focus on the basics of parent advocacy engagement and student success. School administrators, educators, superintendents, school board members, business partners and student leaders are invited to attend.
