Rep. Fleming Named Vice Chairman of Judiciary Committee

ATLANTA – The Georgia House of Representatives’ Committee on Assignments named State Representative Barry Fleming (R-Harlem) as the Vice Chairman of the Judiciary Committee. Rep. Fleming will also serve as the Secretary of the Interstate Cooperation Committee and as a member of the Governmental Affairs and Industry & Labor committees.

“I am honored to serve as an officer of the Judiciary committee. This is a busy and important committee in the House of Representatives,” said Rep. Fleming.

The House Committee on Assignments, chaired by House Speaker David Ralston (R-Blue Ridge), is charged with making all House committee assignments for the members of the Georgia House of Representatives.

Representative Barry Fleming represents the citizens of District 121, which includes portions of Columbia and McDuffie counties. He was first elected into the House of Representatives in 2002, and currently serves as the Vice Chairman of the Judiciary Committee and the Secretary of the Interstate Cooperation Committee. He also serves on the Governmental Affairs and Industry & Labor committees.
