ATLANTA – State Representative Gary Richardson (R-Evans) was recently appointed by House Speaker Jon Burns (R-Newington) to serve on the House Blue-Ribbon Study Committee on Transportation Infrastructure and Vehicle Regulation.
“I am grateful to Speaker Burns for the opportunity to serve on the House Blue-Ribbon Study Committee on Transportation Infrastructure and Vehicle Regulation,” said Rep. Richardson.
“Georgia’s transportation network is essential to our state’s continued growth and economy. As Georgia remains a top state for tourists and businesses, it is important that we evaluate how we can improve our infrastructure and ensure our roads remain reliable and efficient. I look forward to working with my colleagues to identify practical solutions that will strengthen transportation and safety across Georgia for years to come.”
The House Blue-Ribbon Study Committee on Transportation Infrastructure and Vehicle Regulation will evaluate Georgia’s transportation networks and regulations to improve efficiency, streamline utility right-of-way coordination, control costs and strengthen safety statewide.
Speaker Burns also appointed the following study committee members: State Representatives Rick Jasperse (R-Jasper), Lauren McDonald, III (R-Cumming), Matt Dubnik (R-Gainesville), Vance Smith (R-Pine Mountain), Jutt Howard (R-Carrolton), Holt Persinger (R-Winder), Don Parsons (R-Marietta), Marvin Lim (D-Norcross) and Brian Prince (D-Augusta).

Representative Gary Richardson represents the citizens of District 125, which includes portions of Columbia and McDuffie counties. He was first elected to the House of Representatives in 2024 and currently serves as Vice Chairman of the Public & Community Health Committee and as Secretary of the Public Safety and Homeland Security Committee. He also serves on the Transportation Committee.
