ATLANTA – State Representative Gerald Greene (R-Cuthbert) was recently recognized by the Georgia Association of Educators (GAE) for his many decades of service to Georgia’s education system. GAE presented Rep. Greene with an award as part of their Legislative Honor Roll, naming him a 2023 Friend of Education award recipient, the organization’s highest honor.
“I am humbled and honored to be selected as a recipient of such a coveted honor,” said Rep. Greene. “Having spent many years in Georgia’s education system, it is a priority of mine to continue to support Georgia’s educators and students through my endeavors in the Georgia House of Representatives, and I thank GAE President Lisa Morgan for this distinguished recognition.”

Representative Gerald Greene represents the citizens of District 154, which includes Baker, Calhoun, Clay, Early, Miller, Quitman, Randolph and Seminole counties, as well as portions of Dougherty County. He was elected to the House of Representatives in 1982 and currently serves as Chairman of the State Properties Committee and Vice Chairman of the House Appropriations Subcommittee on Economic Development. He also serves on the Economic Development & Tourism, Public Safety and Homeland Security, Retirement, Rules, Special Rules and Urban Affairs committees.
