Rep. Penny Houston Makes Constituents Aware of In-Person Operations of Local DFCS Offices

ATLANTA – State Representative Penny Houston (R-Nashville) seeks to make constituents aware of in-person operations of local Division of Family and Children Services (DFCS) offices located in Tift, Berrien and Cook counties. Those office hours are as follows:

Tift County: Monday – Friday, 9 a.m. – 4 p.m.

Berrien and Cook counties: Tuesday – Thursday, 9 a.m. – 12 p.m., 1 p.m. – 4 p.m.

“In recent meetings of the House Rural Development Council, there were questions raised regarding hours of operation at local DFCS offices across Georgia,” said Rep. Houston. “Because of this, I want to ensure all of my constituents in House District 170 are equipped with the proper resources needed to support their children and families.”

Representative Penny Houston represents the citizens of District 170, which includes Berrien County and portions of Cook and Tift counties. She was elected to the House of Representatives in 1997 and currently serves as Chairman of the House Appropriations Subcommittee on Economic Development. She also serves on the Banks & Banking, Budget and Fiscal Affairs Oversight, Economic Development & Tourism and Public Health committees.
