Rep. Glanton Awards College Scholarships to Local Students

ATLANTA – State Representative Mike Glanton (D-Jonesboro), in partnership with the Beauty Master Foundation, recently awarded college scholarships to local students who are college-bound or currently enrolled in college. Rep. Glanton and the Beauty Master Foundation presented $50,000 in awards at a banquet on Saturday, December 7, 2019, where more than 300 people were in attendance.

“I would like to thank the Beauty Master Foundation for awarding $50,000 to well-deserving local students,” said Rep. Glanton. “These scholarships will help ensure the educational futures of so many students, and I believe the example of the foundation’s commitment to education will have a ripple effect across our entire community to inspire many students to come.”

The Beauty Master Foundation’s awards totaled $50,000, $20,000 more than the original estimated total of $30,000. The scholarships were for high school seniors who attended Atlanta public schools, Clayton, DeKalb or Fulton County public schools and current college freshmen who attend Clayton State University and graduated from Clayton County public schools.

The Beauty Master Foundation is the largest ethnic beauty department chain in the United States. Beauty Master supports many regional and national charities and understands that giving back to the community is part of their corporate responsibility. Chief among Beauty Master’s charitable activities is its dedication to education.
