Rep. Gonzalez Announces District 117 Art Series

ATLANTA – State Representative Deborah Gonzalez (D-Athens) today announced that she will select several local artists from House District 117 to display their artwork in her office, which is located in the Coverdell Legislative Office Building in Atlanta. As a part of this art initiative, Rep. Gonzalez will showcase artwork and will also invite selected artists to the Georgia State Capitol for a day and highlight the artist and their work on her Facebook page.

Stanley Bermudez collection showcase“Many talented and amazing individuals call District 117 home, and I’d like to showcase a few of these wonderful artists and their work every few weeks,” said Rep. Gonzalez. “This series will shed the spotlight on talented individuals from our community, and I look forward to displaying their incredible work in Atlanta.”

The first artist to be selected as a part of this initiative is Stanley Bermudez. Mr. Bermudez’s artwork will be on display in Rep. Gonzalez’s office until March 1, 2018.

Representative Deborah Gonzalez represents the citizens of District 117, which includes portions of Barrow, Clarke, Jackson and Oconee counties. She was elected to the House of Representatives in 2017 and currently serves on the Code Revision, Intragovernmental Coordination and Judiciary Non-Civil committees.
