Rep. Hanson Appointed by Gov. Deal to MARTOC Committee

ATLANTA – State Representative Meagan Hanson (R-Brookhaven) today was appointed by Gov. Nathan Deal to serve on the Metropolitan Atlanta Rapid Transit Overview Committee (MARTOC). This joint state House and Senate committee is responsible for providing oversight of MARTA and its annual budget.

“Finding a solution to the traffic in Brookhaven, Sandy Springs, and Chamblee is extremely important to me,” said Rep. Hanson. “I am grateful to Governor Deal for appointing me to MARTOC, and I look forward to improving MARTA’s services in our community. I believe that with effective and efficient mass transit options, we can move Georgians off the roads and home to their families quicker.”
