Rep. Holly Introduces School Bus Camera Citation Legislation

ATLANTA – State Representative El-Mahdi Holly (D-Stockbridge) recently introduced House Bill 351, legislation that would set penalties for driving violations observed by law enforcement.

“The safety of our children remains a top priority,” said Rep. Holly. “By mandating stiffer penalties against behavior that places our children in danger, we can encourage drivers to act more responsibly behind the wheel.”

House Bill 351 would set new fine requirements for violations of this code section. The driver could face a fine starting at $250. If the driver is cited a second time within five years of the first violation, the citation would be between $500 and $1,000.
