ATLANTA – State Representative Jason Ridley (R-Chatsworth) was sworn into office as a member of the Georgia House of Representatives on Monday, January 9, 2017, marking his first day of the 2017-2018 legislative term. Monday was the first day of the first term of the 154th Legislative Session of the Georgia General Assembly.
“It is a true honor to serve the people of District 6 and the citizens of Georgia as their state representative,” said Rep. Ridley.
In addition to being officially sworn in, the Georgia House of Representatives’ Committee on Assignments named Rep. Ridley to the Banks and Banking; Interstate Cooperation; and Motor Vehicles committees.
The House Committee on Assignments, chaired by House Speaker David Ralston (R-Blue Ridge), is charged with making all House committee assignments for the members of the Georgia House of Representatives.

Representative Jason Ridley represents the citizens of District 6, which includes portions of Whitfield and Murray counties. He was elected into the House of Representatives in 2016, and currently serves on the Banks and Banking, Interstate Cooperation, and Motor Vehicles committees.
