Rep. Josh Bonner Appointed to House Appropriations Subcommittee on Economic Development

ATLANTA – State Representative Josh Bonner (R-Fayetteville) was recently appointed by Speaker David Ralston (R-Blue Ridge) to serve as a member on the House Appropriations Subcommittee on Economic Development for the remainder of the 2019-2020 legislative term.

“I am grateful to be selected for such an important committee assignment,” said Rep. Bonner. “I look forward to working with my colleagues to ensure we produce a budget that reduces the tax burden on our citizens, while maintaining a high quality of service to our state.”

Rep. Bonner was appointed by Speaker Ralston to help bolster the membership of the House Appropriations Subcommittee on Economic Development ahead of the 2020 legislative session. Under the authority of the House Appropriations Committee, this subcommittee will specifically consider portions of the state budget that impact Georgia’s economic development.

The House Appropriations Committee is comprised of eight subcommittees that are tasked with drafting the state’s amended and general fiscal year budgets for Georgia’s state agencies and departments.
