ATLANTA – State Representative Jutt Howard (R-Carrollton) was recently appointed by House Speaker Jon Burns (R-Newington) to serve as a member of the House Blue-Ribbon Study Committee on Transportation Infrastructure and Vehicle Regulation.
“As Georgia continues to grow, it’s important that we take a thoughtful approach to strengthening our transportation infrastructure, which plays a vital role in supporting the state’s economy,” said Rep. Howard. “I want to thank Speaker Jon Burns for appointing me to serve on this study committee, and I look forward to working alongside Chairman Jasperse and my fellow members to identify practical solutions that help ensure safe, reliable travel for families and businesses across our state.”
The House Blue-Ribbon Study Committee on Transportation Infrastructure and Vehicle Regulation will evaluate Georgia’s transportation networks and regulations to improve efficiency, streamline utility right-of-way coordination, control costs and strengthen safety statewide.
Speaker Burns also appointed the following study committee members: State Representatives Rick Jasperse (R-Jasper), Lauren McDonald, III (R-Gainesville), Matt Dubnik (R-Gainesville), Gary Richardson (R-Evans), Vance Smith (R-Pine Mountain), Holt Persinger (R-Winder), Don Parsons (R-Marietta), Marvin Lim (D-Norcross) and Brian Prince (D-Augusta).

Representative Justin ‘Jutt’ Howard represents the citizens of District 71, which includes a portion of Carroll County. He was first elected to the House of Representatives in 2024 and currently serves on the Agriculture & Consumer Affairs, Interstate Cooperation and Natural Resources & Environment committees.
