ATLANTA – State Representative Lauren Daniel (R-Locust Grove) was recently named “Legislator of the Year” by Greater Georgia. Rep. Daniel was presented with the award at Greater Georgia’s annual Legislative Awards Ceremony on Tuesday, April 16 in Atlanta.
“I feel so blessed to have been named ‘Legislator of the Year’ this year for my legislative efforts,” said Rep. Daniel. “Greater Georgia is doing phenomenal work all over the state by growing the conservative movement, and I am just honored to be a part of it.”
During the 2024 legislative session, Rep. Daniel championed legislative initiatives to cut taxes, improve infant and maternal health and protect Georgia students.
Greater Georgia’s mission is to register, reach and activate more eligible voters in communities across Georgia. They work to engage those who feel left out of the political process. Greater Georgia awards “Legislator of the Year” awards each year to conservative lawmakers who work to promote economic prosperity, public safety, education, election integrity and more.
Representative Lauren Daniel represents the citizens of District 117, which includes portions of Henry and Spalding counties. She was elected to the House of Representatives in 2022 and currently serves as the Secretary of the Education and State Planning & Community Affairs committees. She also serves on the Transportation Committee.
