ATLANTA – State Representative Mack Jackson (D-Sandersville) was recently honored by the Georgia Rural Health Association (GRHA) with its 2026 Legislative Champion Award during the organization’s 2026 Annual Conference in Saint Simons Island, Ga.
“I am honored to receive this recognition from the Georgia Rural Health Association,” said Rep. Jackson. “Rural communities like the one I represent depend on access to quality healthcare, and this award reflects the work we’ve done together in the legislature to support our hospitals, clinics and the providers who serve them every day. I am grateful to the Georgia Rural Health Association for this honor and remain committed to fighting to keep rural hospitals open and rural Georgians healthy.”
GRHA is the oldest state rural health association in the nation. Founded in 1981, the association is a nonprofit network of healthcare providers, educators and individuals dedicated to improving health outcomes and healthcare services across rural Georgia. GRHA is made up of members from different counties and organizations and occupies a variety of healthcare positions.
The 2026 GRHA Annual Conference brought together hospital administrators, clinic directors, policy makers, and healthcare advocates to examine how collaboration among providers, policy makers, and innovators can strengthen rural health in Georgia.

Representative Mack Jackson represents the citizens of District 128, which includes Glascock, Hancock, Warren and Washington counties, as well as portions of Baldwin and McDuffie counties.
