ATLANTA – State Representative Mesha Mainor (D-Atlanta) will hold a ceremony for the friends and family of Haroun Wakil on Friday, March 19, 2021 from 12 – 1 p.m. at Liberty Plaza (across from the State Capitol) in Atlanta.
Wakil was a member of the Atlanta community and the founder of Street Groomers, an organization comprised of young Black men that works ensure community safety. Rep. Mainor also recently introduced House Resolution 314 to honor the life and memory of Haroun Shahid Wakil, which can be viewed here.
