ATLANTA – State Representative Mandisha A. Thomas (D-South Fulton) was sworn into office for her second term in the Georgia House of Representatives on Monday, January 9, 2023, which was the first day of the 2023-2024 legislative term. The Georgia House of Representatives’ Committee on Assignments also named Rep. Thomas to the Agriculture & Consumer Affairs, Energy, Utilities & Telecommunications and Industry and Labor committees.
“I am honored to serve the citizens of House District 65 in another term in the Georgia House of Representatives,” said Rep. Thomas. “I would like to thank Speaker Burns and the Committee on Assignments for these placements, especially my new position on the Energy, Utilities & Telecommunications Committee. Georgia is in position to be number one in alternative energy, and we must have leaders who will protect consumer and business principles.”
The House Committee on Assignments, chaired by House Speaker Jon Burns (R-Newington), is charged with making all House committee assignments for the members of the Georgia House of Representatives.

Representative Mandisha A. Thomas represents the citizens of District 65, which includes portions of Coweta, Douglas and Fulton counties. She was elected to the House of Representatives in 2020 and currently serves on the Agriculture & Consumer Affairs, Energy, Utilities & Telecommunications and Industry and Labor committees.
