Rep. Brad Thomas Named Vice Chairman of House Technology & Infrastructure Innovation Committee, Chairman of Cherokee County Legislative Delegation

ATLANTA – The Georgia House of Representatives’ Committee on Assignments recently named State Representative Brad Thomas (R-Holly Springs) as the vice chairman of the House Technology & Infrastructure Innovation Committee.

“First, it is an honor to serve in the role of vice-chairman of the House Technology and Infrastructure Development Committee, and I would like to thank Speaker Jon Burns and House leadership for selecting me to lead on this newly created committee,” said Rep. Thomas. “I look forward to bringing a level of expertise and experience to the committee as we draft policy for the future innovation and technological advances to come.”

The House Committee on Assignments, chaired by House Speaker Jon Burns (R-Newington), is charged with making all House committee assignments for the members of the Georgia House of Representatives.

Established by Speaker Burns earlier this year, the Technology & Infrastructure Innovation Committee works on issues involving new and emerging technologies and their implications for Georgia’s economy.

In addition to being named as a leader of this House committee, Rep. Thomas was recently elected as the chairman of the Cherokee County Legislative Delegation. As the chair of the delegation, Rep. Thomas will help create and promote legislative initiatives that specifically serve the citizens of Cherokee County. He will also help coordinate opportunities for county residents to hear directly from the delegation’s House and Senate members.

“I also want to extend my sincerest appreciation to the Cherokee County Legislative Delegation for electing me to chair our delegation,” added Rep. Thomas. “This will be an exciting and productive session.”
