ATLANTA – State Representative Mandisha A. Thomas (D-South Fulton) will participate in a charity event to provide drinking water to Mississippi residents TODAY, Thursday, September 22, 2022, at 12 p.m. at the First Missionary Baptist Church in College Park.
During the event, 10 tons of drinking water will be loaded onto trucks and then delivered to Stronghold Baptist Church in Jackson, Mississippi. The water will be distributed to Mississippi residents who have been left without fresh drinking water due to recent floods. The MTO Shahmaghsoudi School of Islamic Sufism is hosting this event, along with events across three continents, to celebrate the birthday of Sufi Master Professor Nader Angha.
The following community partners will also attend the event: Trinity Fellowship Ministry Pastor Lawrence A. Reeves, City of South Fulton Councilman Corey A. Reeves, MTO Environmental Sustainability, Dr. Charles Davis, Bountiful Blessings Church Ministries, IHOP Prayer Ministries, BJ’s Camp Creek and representatives from Kroger.
