Rep. Mandisha Thomas to Host Georgia Environmental Justice Education & Awareness Virtual Symposium

ATLANTA – State Representative Mandisha Thomas (D-Atlanta), along with City of South Fulton Councilmember Corey A. Reeves, will host the Georgia Environmental Justice Education & Awareness Virtual Symposium on Thursday, April 22, 2021, from 9 a.m. – 2 p.m. To register for the virtual event, please click here.  

The virtual symposium will focus on environmental public health; new developments regarding environmental justice; agricultural, farmers and food insecurities; environmental legislation; stakeholders; and municipal footprints. The keynote speakers will include U.S. Rep. David Scott, chairman, U.S. House Agriculture Committee; Commissioner Gary Black, Georgia Department of Agriculture; Gary Harris, president of the Center for Sustainable Communities; and Dorothy Jean Tillman II, founder and CEO of Dorothy Jeanius STEM Leadership Institute.
