Rep. Matt Dollar Welcomes the Walton Girls Tennis Team to the House of Representatives

 ATLANTA – State Representative Matt Dollar (R-Marietta) today led the Georgia House of Representatives in recognizing the achievements of the Walton High School Lady Raider tennis team with the passage of House Resolution 511.

“I believe this is Georgia’s greatest high school sports dynasty in history,” said Representative Dollar. “I feel very privileged to honor them today.”

The Walton High School girls tennis team is the reigning state girls tennis champion. With an amazing 135 consecutive wins, the team holds the record for most consecutive victories in Georgia. On March 3, 2011, the Walton High School Lady Raider Varsity Tennis team broke the nearly 40 year old record for longest winning streak, which was set in 1972 by the Taylor County girls basketball team.

Representative Matt Dollar represents the citizens of District 45, which includes portions of Cobb County.
