Rep. Mesha Mainor to Host Ribbon Cutting Ceremony Tomorrow for Fulton Technology and Energy Enhancement Authority

ATLANTA – State Representative Mesha Mainor (D-Atlanta) will host a ribbon cutting ceremony for the Fulton Technology and Energy Enhancement Authority (FTEEA) TOMORROW, Wednesday, June 23, 2021, 10 a.m. at the Georgia World Congress Center.

During the 2021 legislative session, Rep. Mainor authored House Bill 762 to improve the technological and energy resources in communities of color and those with statistically high energy burdens. FTEEA will also work to improve broadband access in blighted communities with failing schools, as well as create strategic partnerships in the public and private sectors to enhance alternative workforce development programming in technology and renewables. HB 762 passed with bipartisan support and was signed into law.

“For Georgia to continue to be a leader in business enterprise solutions, Fulton County in particular must help meet the demand of underrepresented human capital assets in the state,” said Rep. Mainor. “The World Economic Forum has given us a framework on the Fourth Industrial Revolution. If we aren’t planning for sustainability now, we lose. The FTEEA will put Fulton County on the map as a national leader in public sustainable infrastructure, and this is great for Georgia!”
