ATLANTA – Speaker David Ralston (R-Blue Ridge) named State Representative Mike Glanton (D-Jonesboro) to the Appropriations Subcomittee on Education and the Defense & Veterans Affairs; Education; MARTOC; and Public Safety & Homeland Security committees. Rep. Glanton was also named to the House Military Affairs working group.
“I am pleased to retain my committee assignments from the previous legislative sessions,” said Rep. Glanton. “It will afford me the opportunity to continue the important work assigned to those respective committees without interruption. I am honored that the Speaker of the House has recognized my value on the committees and has chosen to reappoint me.”

Representative Mike Glanton represents the citizens of District 75, which includes portions of Clayton County. He was first elected into the House of Representatives in 2006, and was re-elected in 2012. He currently serves on the Appropriations Subcommittee on Education and the Defense & Veterans Affairs, Education, MARTOC, and Public Safety & Homeland Security committees.
