ATLANTA – State Representative Rebecca Mitchell (D-Snellville) will host a virtual “Education Matters” discussion event on Wednesday, October 6, 2021, at 6 p.m. via Zoom. To register for the Zoom event, please click here.
Rep. Mitchell will be joined by Everton Blair, chairman of the Gwinnett County Board of Education; and Brian Westlake, president of Gwinnett County Association of Educators. Gwinnett County residents are invited to learn more about the “decision makers” in their local school districts. Rep. Mitchell and the special guests will also discuss class size and its impact on public health, strategic waiver school systems and changes to the state’s Early Intervention Program.
“By having this discussion, we hope to empower our parents, educators and students to have a meaningful voice in our local public education system,” said Rep. Mitchell.
