Rep. Sandra Scott Issues Statement on Eagles Landing Community Tragedy

ATLANTA – State Representative Sandra Scott (D-Rex) today issued the following statement regarding the recent car accident that left four Eagles Landing High School students dead and one currently hospitalized:

“I want to extend my heartfelt and deepest condolences to the families that lost their loved ones in the tragic accident in the Eagles Landing High School community. My prayers are with the families, friends, students and those affected by this unforeseen tragedy.

“I want these families and friends to know they can always reach out to me. I am just a telephone call or email away. As a nearby state legislator, I am here with a shoulder to cry on, an ear to listen to or anything else this community may need in the days or months ahead. I am sending heartfelt healing prayers and comforting hugs to the Eagles Landing community. I am so sorry for your loss.”

Representative Sandra Scott represents the citizens of District 76, which includes portions of Clayton and Henry counties. She was first elected to the House of Representatives in 2010 and currently serves on the Defense & Veterans Affairs, Human Relations & Aging, Legislative & Congressional Reapportionment, Science and Technology and Special Rules committees.
