ATLANTA – State Representative Sandra Scott (D-Rex) will host a Christmas party for 32 children in Clayton and Henry counties, some of whom are homeless. The party will be held on Saturday, December 12, 2015 from 1 – 4 p.m. at the Travelers Rest Missionary Baptist Church in Morrow.
“Christmas should be a joyful time, but we often forget that it can be a tough time of year for struggling parents,” said Rep. Scott. “The goal of this event is to relieve some of that burden for the parents, but more importantly, we want to help give these children a wonderful Christmas. I would like to thank my family, friends, constituents, business partners, and sponsors for helping to make this event possible.”
Event sponsors include Alan Vigil, Georgia Power, and Betty Turner with Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW). For more information about the event, please contact Kimberli Wideman at (404) 656-0314.
Representative Sandra Scott represents the citizens of District 76, which includes portions of Clayton and Henry counties. She was first elected into the House Representatives in 2010, and currently serves on the Human Relations & Aging, Legislative & Congressional Reapportionment, Science and Technology, and Special Rules committees.
