Rep. Segun Adeyina Announces Support for ‘Love Your Menses Atlanta’ Youth Conference to Empower Young Girls

ATLANTA – State Representative Segun Adeyina (D- Grayson) announces his support for “Love Your Menses Atlanta,” a community initiative dedicated to empowering young girls through education, mentorship and wellness.

“This is an incredible opportunity to uplift and educate the next generation of young women,” said Rep. Adeyina. “By providing access to knowledge, mentorship and supportive spaces, initiatives like ‘Love Your Menses’ are helping our girls grow into confident, healthy leaders.”

Founded and led by OB-GYN Dr. Azumah, Love Your Menses, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, which seeks to advance menstrual health awareness, with the goal of building confidence and promoting overall well-being among young ladies.

On Saturday, May 9, 2026, from 10 a.m. – 1:30 p.m., the organization will host a youth conference at the Calvin Smyre Education Center at Morehouse School of Medicine in Atlanta. The conference, which is themed “Flowing Through Life Unapologetically,” seeks to provide a safe, supportive and engaging environment for girls ages nine to 14 (grades four through eight).

Participants will have the opportunity to learn about menstrual health, puberty, wellness, self-care, confidence, leadership development and mentorship from healthcare professionals.

The event is hosted in collaboration with the Morehouse School of Medicine OB-GYN and Pediatrics Interest Groups, and families and community members are encouraged to register and share this opportunity.
