Rep. Spencer Announces Governor’s Approval of Funding in State Budget for Kingsland Technical College

ATLANTA – State Representative Jason Spencer (R-Woodbine) today announced that Governor Nathan Deal signed House Bill 684, the Fiscal Year 2019 (FY 2019) budget, which includes funding for the Kingsland, Georgia, campus of Coastal Pines Technical College.

“The governor’s signature and final approval of the state budget marks the beginning of the culmination of many years of hard work to secure funding for our technical college in Camden County,” said Rep. Spencer. “There have been many partners involved along the way to make this day happen, and I am proud to announce that these funds will now be coming to Camden County. I look forward to breaking ground on this project sometime in September, which will commemorate a jump start in our community’s work force development.”

The FY 2019 budget appropriates $1.6 million to provide nearly $18 million in 20-year bonds for the construction of a new Camden County campus of Coastal Pines Technical College.
