ATLANTA – The Georgia House of Representatives’ Committee on Assignments recently appointed State Representative Timothy Barr (R-Lawrenceville) to the Appropriations Subcommittee on General Government and the Natural Resources and Environment Committee. Rep Barr also serves on the Code Revision, Health & Human Services and Motor Vehicles committees.
“I am honored to be entrusted with more responsibilities and new committees assignments in the House of Representatives,” said Rep. Barr. “Serving on the House Appropriations Committee will give me, and the citizens of Georgia’s 103rd House District, a voice in our Government’s fiscal decisions and government spending. I am grateful to my colleagues for trusting me to diligently serve on this powerful committee during my second term in the State House. The Natural Resources and Environment Committee plays a leading role in addressing issues surrounding the protection of our state’s precious resources, and I am thrilled to represent our region on this committee.”
The House Committee on Assignments, chaired by House Speaker David Ralston (R-Blue Ridge), is charged with making all House committee assignments for the members of the Georgia House of Representatives.

Representative Timothy Barr represents the citizens of District 103, which includes portions of Hall and Gwinnett counties. He was first elected to the House of Representatives in 2012, and currently serves on the Appropriations Subcommittee on General Government, Code Revision, Health & Human Services, Natural Resources and Environment and Motor Vehicles committees.
