Rep. Tonya Anderson Hosts Faith and Clergy Appreciation Day at the State Capitol

ATLANTA — State Representative Tonya Anderson (D-Lithonia) recently hosted the 14th Annual “Faith & Clergy Appreciation Day at the Capitol.” This event is intended to show appreciation to the Clergy and faith-based leaders of Georgia.

“We have deep gratitude for the clergy and faith-based leaders of our great state,” said Rep. Anderson. “It was an honor to meet these clergy members and hear their thoughts, concerns and ideas about legislation. As spiritual leaders, they hold valuable insight into how we might be able to improve matters that affect Georgia citizens.”

The event welcomed Georgia clergy members to the State Capitol and included a light breakfast, devotional, and luncheon. Attendees also had the opportunity to visit the House and Senate chambers. Additionally, these guests were able to share their concerns and ideas about legislation with House members.

Representative Tonya Anderson represents the citizens of District 92, which includes portions of Rockdale and DeKalb counties. She was first elected to the House of Representatives in 2012, and currently serves on the Defense and Veteran Affairs, Intragovernmental Coordination, Regulated Industries, and Special Rules committees.
