ATLANTA – Today, House Speaker Jon Burns (R-Newington) announced appointments to the Georgia House of Representatives’ 2025 study committees. These committees will meet throughout the interim, hear from experts, stakeholders and the public and compile a report of specific findings or legislative recommendations ahead of the 2026 legislative session.

Rep. Tim Fleming Named Chairman of House Higher Education Dual Enrollment & Tuition Equalization Grant Ad Hoc Committee

ATLANTA – State Representative Tim Fleming (R-Covington) was recently named chairman of the Dual Enrollment & Tuition Equalization Grant Ad Hoc Committee of the House Higher Education Committee. Rep. Fleming was appointed as chairman by House Higher Education Committee Chairman Chuck Martin (R-Alpharetta).

Rep. Tim Fleming Works to Secure GDOT Funding for Williams Road and City Pond Road Improvements for the City of Covington

ATLANTA – State Representative Tim Fleming (R-Covington) today announced that the Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT) has approved approximately $2.3 million for road improvements for Williams Road and City Pond Road to support the Archer Aviation project in Covington. Rep. Fleming worked with Governor Kemp’s office and GDOT officials to secure the funding for this economic development project.
