ATLANTA – State Representative Alisha Thomas Morgan (D-Austell) will host a free conference call to give parents an opportunity to learn more about House Bill 123 – the “Parent Trigger” bill currently under consideration in the General Assembly – on Tuesday, February 26, 2013, at 6:00 PM. Rep. Morgan Announces Winners of First Annual Morgan Family Scholarship

ATLANTA – State Representative Alisha Thomas Morgan (D-Austell) today announced Ruby Bansah and Rolando Zenteno as the winners of the first annual Morgan Family Scholarship, a higher education scholarship program that is designed to aid young people in the South Cobb County community who attend Pebblebrook High School and South Cobb High School. Rep. Morgan Addresses Math Teachers on State Tour

ATLANTA – State Representative Alisha Morgan (D-Austell) began a speaking tour throughout the state today. During this two month tour, Rep. Morgan will talk to math teachers about “equity in the classroom” as part of a series of summer academies being held throughout Georgia to help math teachers prepare for the new Common Core of Georgia Performance Standards, which will be implemented in the fall.
