Bipartisan House Bill 1013 Filed Today

ATLANTA – Today, Speaker David Ralston (R-Blue Ridge) announced he has filed House Bill 1013, a comprehensive bill to reform Georgia’s mental health care delivery system and improve client outcomes. The bill is a bipartisan measure sponsored by Speaker Ralston and signed by members of leadership from both political parties including Majority Leader Jon Burns (R-Newington) and Minority Leader James Beverly (D-Macon).

Democratic Legislators to Introduce Resolution for Roe V. Wade Anniversary, Hold Virtual Press Conference Tomorrow

ATLANTA – House Minority Leader James Beverly (D-Macon), State Representatives Erica Thomas (D-Austell), Park Cannon (D-Atlanta), Shea Roberts (D-Atlanta), Rebecca Mitchell (D-Snellville), Renitta Shannon (D-Decatur), Erick Allen (D-Smyrna), Jasmine Clark (D-Lilburn), Dar’shun Kendrick (D-Lithonia), Kim Schofield (D-Atlanta), Matthew Wilson (D-Brookhaven), Sandra Scott (D-Rex), Teri Anulewicz (D-Smyrna), Donna McLeod (D-Lawrenceville), Rhonda Burnough (D-Conyers), Shelly Hutchinson (D-Snellville) and Derrick Jackson (D-Tyrone) will introduce a House resolution to recognize the recent 49th anniversary of the Supreme Court’s decision on Roe v. Wade. These legislators will also hold a virtual press conference to discuss abortion access TOMORROW, Tuesday, January 25, 2022, at 1 p.m. via Zoom. Democratic Legislators Oppose Department of Labor Legislative Portal Access Pilot Program Agreement

ATLANTA – House Minority Leader James Beverly (D-Macon), State Representatives Sandra Scott (D-Rex), Kim Schofield (D-Atlanta), Rhonda Burnough (D-Riverdale) and Viola Davis (D-Stone Mountain) oppose the Georgia Department of Labor’s (GDOL) user agreement form for its Legislative Portal Access pilot program, which would allow legislators to monitor complaints and requests from their constituents.
