House Majority Leader Jon Burns Urges Response from Secretary of State, State Elections Board on Absentee Ballot Verification Process Review
ATLANTA – House Majority Leader Jon Burns (R-Newington) today sent a second letter to Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger urging a response to a December 4, 2020, letter submitted by Leader Burns and more than 100 current and newly-elected House members. Leader Burns, along with the vast majority of the Georgia House Republican Caucus, requested improvements to the absentee ballot application and envelope signature verification process and that the Secretary of State seek out additional staffing options to provide more support and oversight for Georgia’s upcoming election on January 5, 2021.

ATLANTA – The House Republican Caucus met today and re-elected its key leaders. The Majority Caucus nominated House Speaker David Ralston (R-Blue Ridge) and House Speaker Pro-Tempore Jan Jones (R-Milton) as the caucus nominees for their current positions.
