ATLANTA – State Representative Chuck Martin (R-Alpharetta) today announced a new special subcommittee of the House Higher Education Committee to address workforce development. This special subcommittee will examine current challenges the state is facing with respect to recruiting and retaining talent to Georgia’s workforce.

Members of Hall County House Legislative Delegation Support Election Reform Legislation

ATLANTA – State Representatives Lee Hawkins (R-Gainesville), Emory Dunahoo (R-Gillsville), Timothy Barr (R-Lawrenceville) and Matt Dubnik (R-Gainesville) supported the recent vote on House Bill 531, legislation which would reform Georgia’s voting process. House Bill 531 passed in the Georgia House of Representatives on Monday, March 1, and will now be considered by the Senate.

Rep. Matt Dubnik Named Chairman of the House Education Committee

ATLANTA – The Georgia House of Representatives’ Committee on Assignments recently named State Representative Matt Dubnik (R-Gainesville) as the Chairman of the House Education Committee. Rep. Dubnik will also serve as Secretary of the Appropriations Committee and as a member of the Game, Fish & Parks, Higher Education, Interstate Cooperation, Juvenile Justice and Small Business Development committees. He will also serve as an Ex-Officio member of the Ways & Means Committee.

Rep. Matt Dubnik Named 2019 Family Medicine Legislative Champion of the Year by Georgia Academy of Family Physicians

ATLANTA – State Representative Matt Dubnik (R-Gainesville) was recently named the 2019 Family Medicine Legislative Champion of the Year by the Georgia Academy of Family Physicians for his commitment to advocating for physicians and patients. During the 2019 legislative session, Rep. Dubnik sponsored legislation that offers a state tax credit for physicians who precept nurse practitioners, physician assistants and medical students. Rep. Kasey Carpenter Appointed to Deputy Whip Team for the 2019-2020 Legislative Term

ATLANTA – State Representative Kasey Carpenter (R-Dalton) was recently appointed to serve as a member of the House Majority Caucus Deputy Whip team. Rep.
