ATLANTA – State Representatives Bee Nguyen (D-Atlanta), Sam Park (D-Lawrenceville) and Marvin Lim (D-Norcross), along with State Senators Michelle Au (D-Johns Creek) and Sheikh Rahman (D-Lawrenceville), today announced a series of bills in response to the recent shootings in the metro Atlanta region. These legislators plan to introduce correlating legislation in the House and Senate, and they issued the following statement:
ATLANTA – State Representatives Sam Park (D-Lawrenceville), Bee Nguyen (D-Atlanta) and Marvin Lim (D-Norcross), along with State Senators Michelle Au (D-Johns Creek) and Sheikh Rahman (D-Lawrenceville), will hold a press conference TOMORROW, Thursday, March 18, 2021, at 9 a.m. at the South Wing Steps of the State Capitol.
ATLANTA – State Representatives Debra Bazemore (D-Riverdale), Dar’shun Kendrick (D-Lithonia), Billy Mitchell (D-Stone Mountain) and Sam Park (D-Lawrenceville), along with Senators Tonya Anderson (D-Lithonia) and Nan Orrock (D-Atlanta) recently attended the 2019 Public Leadership Institute’s (PLI) State Strategy Forum National Conference. This conference invites about 120 state legislators from over 40 different states to participate in policy and leadership sessions, which are designed as practical and real-world as possible.
