Georgia State Legislators to Hold Press Conference on Equal Rights for LGBTQ Georgians

ATLANTA – State Representative Sam Park (D-Lawrenceville), along with LGBTQ members of the Georgia General Assembly, will hold a press conference on Monday, August 22, 2022, at 9 a.m. at the South Wing Steps of the Georgia State Capitol.

Rep. Park will be joined by State Representatives Karla Drenner (D-Avondale Estates), Park Cannon (D-Atlanta) and State Senator Kim Jackson (D-Stone Mountain). Together, these legislators will discuss protecting equal rights for LGBTQ Georgians, including the right to marry and comprehensive civil rights protections. They will also discuss their work to ensure all Georgians are treated with equal dignity under state law.
