ATLANTA – State Senator Brandon Beach (R-Alpharetta), State Representative John Carson (R-Roswell) and Representative Elect Brad Thomas (R-Woodstock), all members of the Cherokee County Legislative Delegation, call for Cherokee County voting machines to be made public for inspection and testing through a mock election.
“We have heard the voices of our constituents, and we are called to action,” said these members of the Cherokee County legislative delegation. “We must fight for the sanctity of our electoral process and ensure that all our constituents’ votes are counted and counted correctly. If our Dominion voting machines are not tabulating the votes as cast, we will find out by taking matters into our own hands. We will settle for nothing less and will make sure our constituents’ votes count.”
These legislators hope that through such an inspection they can provide reassurance that every legal vote is accounted for properly after receiving complaints regarding the distrust of the Dominion voting machines in Cherokee County. These legislators are calling for the Cherokee County Board of Commissioners and the Cherokee County Board of Elections (BOE) to provide three voting machines to be selected immediately and at random by members of the legislative delegation. The legislative delegation also requests that the Cherokee County BOE provide a location to set up the randomly selected machines and perform a mock election that would occur no later than December 18, 2020. After the mock election takes place, they request that unfettered access and oversight to the voting results be made available to the delegation and the citizens who participated in the mock election. The Cherokee County Legislative Delegation would like 300 volunteers to cast votes during the proposed mock election.
