State Rep. Lynn Smith Attends Southern States Energy Board Conference

ATLANTA – State Representative Lynn Smith (R-Newnan) recently attended the 2012 Annual Meeting of the Southern States Energy Board Conference (SSEB) in Oklahoma City, OK. While in attendance, Rep. Smith served as a moderator for a panel discussion titled The Future of Clean Energy Development.

“The SSEB meetings are always an exciting opportunity for me to learn about new and emerging ideas and technologies that will enable us to develop domestic energy resources that are secure, available, and abundant,” said Rep. Smith. “The combination of academic experts, elected government leaders, and industry professionals creates an environment ripe for critical discussions. I am also impressed with the ongoing efforts of our southern states to use available natural resources to provide low cost and reliable energy to their citizens.”

As a panelist for The Future of Clean Energy Development, Rep. Smith and other leading energy experts discussed the role that clean energy will have on the nation’s future. The other panelists included Vello Kuuskraa, President of Advanced Resources International; Bruce McKay, managing director of Federal Affairs, Dominion; and Michael Skelly, President of Clean Line Energy.
