ATLANTA— State Representative Jay Roberts (R-Ocilla) today commented on his appointment to Governor Deal’s Severe Winter Weather Warning and Preparedness Task Force.
“I am honored to have been chosen by Governor Deal to serve on the task force,” said Rep. Roberts. “I believe that we need to do everything that we can to try to better prepare in case we are faced with this situation again. I look forward to working with, and hearing ideas from those that are on the task force.”

Representative Jay Roberts represents the citizens of District 155, which includes all of Ben Hill, Irwin, and Turner counties, and portions of Tift County. He was elected into the House of Representatives in 2002, and currently serves as the Chairman of the Transportation Committee. He also currently serves on the Agriculture & Consumer Affairs, Appropriations, Games, Fish, & Parks, and Rules committees.
