Statement from Representative Steve Davis Concerning Jack Elkins’ Appointment to Water Planning District Governing Board

ATLANTA – Today state Representative Steve Davis released the following statement concerning Jack Elkins’ appointment to the Metropolitan North Georgia Water Planning District Governing Board:

“I would like to thank Speaker Glenn Richardson for considering my recommendation to appoint Jack Elkins to this vital board. Water shortages have been a major issue throughout the state for the past several years, but have become especially worrisome to the north metro district. Over the 10 years I’ve known Jack Elkins he has repeatedly shown his understanding of water issues, especially through his roles as President of the Henry County Farm Bureau and his participation on state water plan. I’m confident in his abilities and happy to have someone from Henry County on the Metropolitan North Georgia Water Planning District Governing Board.”
