Chairman Alan Powell Welcomes New Officers of House Regulated Industries Committee

ATLANTA – State Representative Alan Powell(R-Hartwell), chair of the House Regulated Industries Committee, welcomes State Representatives Dale Washburn (R-Macon) and Ginny Ehrhart (R-Marietta) as the new officers for the House Regulated Industries Committee. Rep. Washburn will serve as the committee’s vice chairman, and Rep. Ehrhart will serve as the committee’s secretary.

Rep. Alan Powell to be Honored by Georgia’s Nurses for Championing Legislation for Advanced Practice Registered Nurses

ATLANTA – State Representative Alan Powell (R-Hartwell) will receive the CAPRN Nurse Champion Legislator of the Year Award by the Georgian Coalition of Advanced Practice Registered Nurses and United Advanced Practice Registered Nurses of Georgia (Georgia CAPRN/UAPRN). Rep. Powell will be presented with the award at a small, outdoor ceremony (following all CDC social distancing guidelines) on Thursday, October 1, 2020, at 1 p.m. at St. Mary’s Sacred Heart Hospital in Lavonia, which is located in Rep.
