Rep. Lynn Smith Reappointed Chairman of the House Natural Resources & Environment Committee, Receives New Committee Assignments
ATLANTA – The Georgia House of Representatives’ Committee on Assignments recently reappointed State Representative Lynn Smith (R-Newnan) as the Chairman of the House Natural Resources & Environment Committee. Rep. Smith will also serve as a member on the Appropriations Subcommittee on General Government and the Special Committee on Election Integrity, Creative Arts & Entertainment, Legislative & Congressional Reapportionment and Rules committees.
Rep. Lynn Smith Elected Vice Chair of the Southern States Energy Board for Second Term
ATLANTA – State Representative Lynn Smith (R-Newnan) was recently elected by the Southern States Energy Board (SSEB) to serve as vice chair of the SSEB’s Executive Board for the 2020-2021 term, which will be her second term as vice chair. Rep. Lynn Smith Attends Final House Rural Development Council Meetings in Americus
ATLANTA – State Representative Lynn Smith (R-Newnan) recently traveled to Americus to attend the final meetings of the House of Representatives’ Rural Development Council where the council continued to discuss economic and infrastructure improvements in rural Georgia. House and Senate Natural Resources & Environment Committees Participate in Environmental Policy Academy in Coastal Georgia
ATLANTA – State Representative Lynn Smith (R-Newnan) and State Senator Tyler Harper (R-Ocilla), along with members of the House and Senate Natural Resources and Environment committees, participated in the Carl Vinson Institute of Government’s Legislative Environmental Policy Academy to strengthen their understanding of key environmental issues facing Georgia’s coast. Members of the committees participated in a four-day meeting, which included various site visits and presentations.
