ATLANTA – State Representatives Kim Schofield (D-Atlanta), Sandra Scott (D-Rex) and Rhonda Burnough (D-Riverdale) commend the Clayton County Board of Commissioners on the local passage of the Creating a Respectful and Open World for Natural Hair (CROWN) Act. Rep. Rhonda Burnough Appointed to Minority Deputy Whip Team for the 2021-2022 Legislative Term

ATLANTA – State Representative Rhonda Burnough (D-Riverdale) was recently appointed to serve as member of House Minority Caucus Deputy Whip Team. Rep. Burnough was appointed to serve on the deputy whip team by House Minority Whip David Wilkerson (D-Powder Springs), and her appointment is for the 2021-2022 legislative term, which is concurrent with her service as member of the Georgia House of Representatives.

Georgia House Democratic Caucus Subcommittee on COVID-19 Submits Letter to Governor on Coronavirus Variant

ATLANTA – Members of the Georgia House Democratic Caucus (GHDC) Subcommittee on COVID-19 recently submitted a letter to Governor Brian Kemp to urge an action plan against a new variant of COVID-19, which is reported to be a more contagious strain of the virus. The members of the subcommittee, which includes State Representatives Rhonda Burnough (D-Riverdale), Viola Davis (D-Stone Mountain), Shelly Hutchinson (D-Snellville), Donna McLeod (D-Lawrenceville), Sandra Scott (D-Rex) and Kim Schofield (D-Atlanta), request that Gov. Kemp reevaluate his current response plan regarding the spread of COVID-19 within the state of Georgia.
