Forsyth County House Delegation Adopts House Rules, Names Rep. Brent Cox as Chairman

ATLANTA – Members of the Forsyth House Delegation, including State Representative Brent Cox (R-Dawsonville), met on Monday, February 10, 2025, to adopt their House Rules for the 2025-2026 legislative term. Also, during the meeting, Rep. Cox was named Chairman of the delegation for the 2025-2026 legislative term.

Cox. “As a team, we are committed to advancing the priorities of Forsyth County and ensuring that our community’s needs are met in the Georgia House. Representing the people of Forsyth County is a privilege we take seriously, and we will work tirelessly to ensure their voices are heard. Together, we will secure the resources and policies that will drive growth, opportunity, and a strong future for our community.”

State Representatives Carter Barrett (R-Cumming), David Clark (R-Buford), Lauren McDonald III (R-Cumming), Rick Jasperse (R-Jasper) and Todd Jones (R-South Forsyth) are also part of the delegation.

Representative Brent Cox represents the citizens of District 28, which includes portions of Forsyth and Hall counties. He was first elected to the House of Representatives in 2022 and currently serves as Secretary of the Technology and Infrastructure Innovation Committee. He also serves on the Agriculture & Consumer Affairs, Education and Transportation committees.
